The journey isn’t always going to be obvious at first, but if you follow your heart and do the things you love to do, you’ll find your way, Science grad Collins Oghor explains in the Unconventional podcast

No one ever said that a career journey has to be a straight line. For some, the journey is full of unexpected turns, surprising opportunities, and a few roadblocks. The latest episode of the alumni podcast MacCast – Unconventional Science alumnus Collins Oghor explains to listeners that the journey isn’t always going to be obvious at first, but if you follow your heart and do the things you love to do, you’ll find your way.

Since graduating from Mac in 2013, Collins had received a joint Doctor of Medicine & Master of Surgery with Masters of Business Administration (MD-MBA) degree from McGill University; started and built a cult classic menswear fashion brand in Montreal (Maison Leporem); and has performed global health research on access to tuberculosis diagnostics and worked on a UN-operated project in Geneva – just to name a few of his accomplishments.

Recently, he has found himself back home in Africa working as a member of a global management consultancy, McKinsey & Company, advising local governments and NGOs on public health and infrastructure across the continent and is co-founder/CEO of Collogh Cares.

McMaster has more than 210,000 alumni living in 140 countries around the world, and they are some of the most amazing people you would ever want to meet. The Unconventional podcast will introduce some of our alumni who are working — in the arts, as cutting-edge entrepreneurs, leading the way in health, education, technology and more —  to make our world a brighter place in their own unique way. Download the latest episode, or catch up if you’ve missed one, on AppleSpotify, or Soundcloud.
