“I look forward to all that we’ll accomplish together in 2023”: Letter from the President

Dear members of the McMaster community,

I’m excited about the year ahead, the direction we’re moving in as a university, and about the positive impact McMaster continues to have on our community and the world.

We are united in our commitment to building a more sustainable future and, through the collective efforts of our faculty, staff and students, we are on-track to achieve McMaster’s net-zero carbon goal.

Our focus on innovation in research and teaching are making a difference on our campus and globally; informing some of the most critical policy debates of our time, enabling us to find new ways to work with and serve our communities, and improving the health and well-being of countless people around the world.

Together, our faculty, staff and students are creating a more inclusive campus, working collaboratively to engage, respect and support diverse communities and foster a deeper sense of belonging and well-being.

And we’re accomplishing these goals by working together.

I want to thank every member of the McMaster community for your contributions. I’m inspired by your passion and dedication, and I feel fortunate to be part of a community that is so engaged, and cares so deeply about our campus, our city and the world.
