Ken Cruikshank, dean of the Faculty of Humanities, was on hand to greet students and their families during last Friday's Humanities awards ceremony in Convocation Hall. 'It is our way of thanking you publicly for leading by example,' said Cruikshank.

Last Friday, Humanities students were celebrated for their hard work with awards that included essay prizes, travel scholarships, community contribution awards and the Dean’s Honour List.

The celebration took place in Convocation Hall where faculty, fellow students and family members were present to express their congratulations.

“This assembly is a way for McMaster University and the Faculty of Humanities to thank you publicly for bringing energy, excitement and wonder to our classrooms, laboratories, performance spaces and art studios,” said Ken Cruikshank, dean of the Faculty of Humanities, during his address.

“It is our way of thanking you publicly for leading by example, setting ambitious goals and high standards for yourself that inspire your fellow students to work harder and think more deeply.”
