Hrymak appointed Dean of Engineering at UWO

Andy Hrymak begins his new post in London on July 1.
Hrymak earned his B.Eng at McMaster prior to completing his PhD at Carnegie-Mellon University. He has served nine years as chair of Chemical Engineering and is the founding director of the Walter G. Booth School of Engineering Practice.
“McMaster is a better place thanks to Andy Hrymak's significant contributions to our community,” says Ilene Busch-Vishniac, provost and vice-president academic. “We are thankful for his many years of outstanding research, teaching and service to McMaster.”
David Wilkinson, McMaster's dean of Engineering wishes Hrymak well as he assumes his new position.
“Andy played integral roles to many University bodies including the University Planning committee and as a member of the Refining Directions implementation committee. His colleagues in the Faculty of Engineering and across campus wish him well and congratulate him on this much-deserved appointment.”
Hrymak joined McMaster as an assistant professor in 1985. He is a recognized expert in polymer rheology and process simulation.
