Health fair offers realistic resolutions

Image courtesy of the Campus Health Centre.”]If you're having trouble keeping your New Year's resolution to lead a healthier lifestyle, attending the 2007 Health Fair might help you reach your goal. The Campus Health Centre and Healthy Workplace are hosting the event in the MUSC Marketplace on Thursday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year's theme is “Realistic Resolutions.”

Deb Garland, health education events co-ordinator at the Campus Health Centre, said the event is designed to “provide an educational day for all employees and students to discover and learn more about their personal health and health risks.”

The health fair will feature 17 exhibitors offering health information and assessments at no cost to McMaster employees and students. In addition, interactive experiences, contests and prize draws will give participants the opportunity to have fun while learning how to improve their health.

“This will be the event of the year to get helpful information, discover community health services and learn about motivation for personal change,” said Garland.
