To warm up the audience, the McMaster Dance Company, joined by members of the local community, performed a pre-show directed and choreographed by McMaster's kinesiology professor Dave Wilson. This diverse dance production presented modern, hip-hop, jazz, African and break dance styles in advance of the screening. The audience was treated to in-person performances from some of the artists who sang in the film as well as a live boxing match in honour of the film's theme.

3 Days is a one-man movie that was conceived to challenge viewers' minds. In three days, Savidis, along with author Peter Tassi and his friends Moe Masoudi (director) and George Jakji at Moe-tion Picture Productions, wrote a story about one man's struggle to overcome the overwhelming obstacles of deceit and betrayal. The movie, which took over four years to produce, takes place in Greece, New York and Las Vegas but was actually filmed in several locations in Hamilton, including coffee shops, bars in Hess Village, Copps Coliseum and La Cantina. Over 350 local members of the Hamilton community were involved in the production of this film.

“A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into this film”, says director Moe Masoudi. “This film is not about me, it's about the creative energy of everyone involved in making a low budget independent film become a reality. We are ready to celebrate a great accomplishment of the collaboration of the many generous Hamiltonians who believed in the independent spirit of filmmaking.”

Masoudi describes the style of the film's production as “pushing the envelope” by using a mixture of media types to create imagery intended to project resonant images in the mind of the viewer. The film employs Masoudi's novel 'moe-tion photography' technique – combining a series of still-action photographs with animation and traditional filming methods.

Moe-tion Picture Productions will donate all proceeds from this film debut to the Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation. More information about the film can be found online at www.3daysmovie.com.
