A sold out crowd of 60 souls took part in the McMaster Family Ghost Tour, held last week at Westfield Heritage Village in Rockton, Ontario.

The walk through the quaint village included spooky stories, historical recollections and visits from “ghosts” of days long since past, including Sir Sanford Fleming and Laura Secord.

“The Ghost Walk is part of our very popular Family Event Series,” said Laura Escalante, alumni officer in the Office of Alumni Advancement. “The event series allows alumni to remain connected to McMaster in a way that fits with their families' schedule and interests.”

From the freshly popped corn which kicked-off the evening to the post-ghost tour circus-style show, the Westfield staff and volunteers who led the evening made sure everyone was thoroughly entertained, whether they managed to glimpse a ghost or not.

“A great time was had by all our participants,” said Escalante. “There was something for everyone; young and young-at- heart alike.”

The McMaster Alumni Association offers these events, along with a wide variety of social, networking and personal and professional development events, throughout the year in Hamilton and around the world.
