Fleet Copier Community Showcase rescheduled

McMaster University is in the process of developing a custom fleet copier solution.

Since our last report, all seven companies that responded to McMaster's Fleet Copier Request for Proposal (RFP) have been studied and rated based on specific evaluation criteria.

These criteria were based on four specific McMaster interests highlighted within the RFP: strategy, value, service and cost. The Fleet Copier Steering Committee met last week to formalize the scores and discuss the results.

During the intensive day-long session, the top five respondents received close scores for different reasons. In order to ensure a fair selection that would provide the University with an optimal five-year working relationship, it was decided to add a step in our RFP evaluation process.

This week, we are inviting the five companies to make a presentation to the Steering and Working Committees based on the following elements: strategic alignment, transition and implementation, service models, environmental and pricing strategies.

The results of these presentations will provide us with a short list of two or three suppliers.

As a result, the Open House Copier Showcase, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 9, has been postponed. Preparations are underway to reschedule the public showcase of short-listed suppliers for Friday, Jan. 18 from 12 to 4 p.m. More information will be provided when it becomes available.
