#FlatMac photo challenge captures incoming students’ summer adventures

FlatMac has been just about everywhere this summer, including at the Rogers Centre for a Blue Jays game.

Under a giant inukshuk. At the Rogers Centre. By the pool. And with a surprising number of books.

FlatMac has been all over the place this summer, and while we’re not sure if he loved his time in the terrarium, we’re fairly certain he does like ice cream.

The cardboard Marauder cutout, sent to incoming students earlier this year, is part of a photo challenged organized by University’s Alumni Association.

The FlatMac photo challenge is a way for first years to document their journey to McMaster: Given a list of places to take photos, students must try to take a photo of themselves with FlatMac at as many places on the list as they can.

The challenge takes places on Instagram and must include the hashtag #FlatMac on a publicly viewable profile. The more places crossed off, the better the chances of winning prizes, which include tickets to various activities around Hamilton like concerts, Ticat games and the Art Gallery of Hamilton.

Grand prize winners will be chosen in September with opportunities to win at bonus contests happening throughout the summer.
