Faculty member, grad among this year’s Hamilton Gallery of Distinction inductees


Two of the seven people being inducted into this year’s Hamilton Gallery of Distinction have McMaster ties.

Jean Clinton, a professor of psychiatry and behavioural neurosciences was recognized for her extensive work on children’s well-being. Clinton was the first to find the connection between children’s emotional and cognitive development.

Alumnus David Levy has served as team physician for a variety of McMaster and Mohawk sports teams, as well as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Rock. In 1978 he founded the McMaster Athletic Injury Clinic, now known as the David Braley Sport Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre.

The pair are part of a diverse group of people being honoured by the Hamilton Gallery of Distinction, which includes individuals working in community-building, advocacy, culture, the arts and more.

The inductees will be honoured at a special induction ceremony Nov. 13 at Michelangelo’s Events and Conference Centre.
