Exams begin

Classes are now officially over and exams began today at McMaster University.
Students will write more than 80,000 exams in more than 700 courses during the
exam period, which runs until April 26. Students are reminded to bring the student
card to all examinations.
Students living on campus will begin moving out of residences once their
individual exam schedules are completed.
As students move out, they may be left with a number of unwanted items. Various
collection boxes have been set up in the McMaster University Student Centre, in the
hallway near the main south entrance, for clothing, food, and book collections. All
clothing and food collected will be donated to Good Shepard, a local social services
agency. All books collected will be contributed to literacy initiatives. All collections will
be accepted until Friday, April 29.
For those living in the Westdale and Ainslie Wood neighbourhoods, McMaster is
sponsoring a
community electronics pick-up on Friday, April 22. Electronic waste items can be left
on the curb side that morning and they will be picked up for recycling in compliance
with the Ontario Electronic Stewardship program. For a full list of acceptable electronic
items, click
here.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is available to conduct free pick-ups of unwanted
used furniture items. They can be contacted at 905-549-3902.
Several McMaster groups are partnerning with a local neighbourhood association
for a “community clean-up” on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. If you
would like to volunteer, please contact the Off-Campus Resource Centre at 905-525-
9140, ext. 24086 or at macoffcampus@mcmaster.ca.
