Everyone needs a home for the holidays

Most students are stressed because of exams, but some are concerned about finding alternative accommodation plans for when Residence closes for the holidays. All residences on campus close over the holidays and students are required to move out by 12 noon the day after their last exam.

Recognizing that some students may require alternative accommodations, A Home for the Holidays is being launched through McMaster's Off-Campus Experience and Housing & Conference Services.

This new student-to-student program is designed for students seeking temporary accommodations during the holidays. Residence students looking for short-term accommodations can register for this program and in the “spirit of the holidays” students who live off-campus and wish to offer accommodations can also register. The site is intended to be a meeting place for students seeking and for those offering short-term accommodations over the holiday period.

It's a great way for students to help other students make sure that everyone has s home for the holidays.

The service is free for McMaster students and each listing will be approved before its posted.
