Enhanced screening on campus, free shipping from the Campus Store and how to use the Mosaic COVID-19 reporting tool

Enhanced screening requirements on campus

Hamilton’s Medical Officer of Health recently added new increased level red restrictions which impact McMaster students, faculty and staff every time they come to campus to work, attend classes or use any campus facility.

Anyone coming to campus or a McMaster facility must complete the provincial COVID-19 screening tool one hour in advance of coming to campus and send confirmation of passing the screening to a supervisor, faculty member or instructor or key contact at the university.

Students living in residence entering any other building on campus should email the results of the provincial COVID-19 tool to Residence Life staff athcshelp@mcmaster.ca

Read the full requirements if you need to come to campus.

Supervisors and faculty who receive these confirmation communications, are asked to keep them on file for two weeks. No other action is required to be taken.

Free Shipping at Campus Store – Pickup no longer available.

With the recent increased health and safety measures in Hamilton, The Campus Store is no longer offering a pickup option for new orders. All online orders over $50 (before tax) now qualify for free shipping across Canada.

The Winter term booklist is now available to find and order all required text for Winter 2021 courses.

Note: Pickup orders placed before Dec 2nd, 2020 will be available at the service window (in the basement of Gilmour Hall), until Dec. 23rd, 2020.

Individuals coming to campus to pick up these orders must complete the active screening requirements in advance.

The service window has a tentative reopening date of Jan. 25th, 2021.

COVID-19 Reporting Tool in Mosaic

McMaster asks all students, faculty and staff to go onto Mosaic to report positive COVID-19 test results or close contact with an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19.

This tool will help the university track confirmed and probable cases on campus and ensure appropriate cleaning and safety protocols are put into place promptly.

The results from this optional reporting are sent directly to McMaster’s Rapid Response team to ensure appropriate measures are taken where required.
