Last Thursday and Friday, employees gathered at the historic Old Mill in Ancaster to be inspired by inspirational and informative keynote speakers, session leaders and facilitators speaking on topics that include: stress management, healthy lifestyles, revitalization, career management, mind potential. Participants explored ideas, suggestions and strategies aimed at “Inspiring from Within.”

Jeanette Button, chair of the Conference Steering Committee said: “The positive feedback has been tremendous and that is very gratifying. Of course having such a dedicated committee is what has made the event so successful. They made my job so much easier.”

Due to the overwhelming response of last year's event, conference organizers decided to add an additional day this year. Success repeated itself this year when in less than two days of the Web site launching, the conference sold out.

Guest speaker Bob Koehler was impressed by the turnout. “One of the measures of a great organization is the tremendous participation in an event such as this,” he said.

The intent of the conference is for participants to leave with practical tips on how to better manage their professional and personal concerns; but also with a renewed sense of confidence in their abilities and a more positive and light approach to life in general.

The conference was presented by the 2005 'Inspiring from Within' Conference Organizing Committee (part of the 'Working at McMaster' Steering Committee).
