The main entrance had been closed as part of a $7.8-million renovation to the Health Sciences Library.
The new doorway features improved landscaping, paving and drainage away from pedestrian walkways.
The temporary door on the east side of the Ewart Angus Centre will remain open.
Renovations to the library are continuing, and are expected to be completed in February.
