These are just some of the questions recent graduates face when confronted with workplace events.
On Tuesday, March 13, MBA students at the DeGroote School of Business will have the opportunity to get the answers to these and many more dining etiquette questions with the Centre for Business Career Development's Dining for Success etiquette dinner.
“This is an opportunity for students to gain the skills and knowledge of what is expected of them, as business professionals, at a formal dinner, a wine and cheese event or a networking function,” explains Jennifer McCleary, director of DeGroote's Centre for Business Career Development. “Wine choices, toasts, topics of conversation, proper table and dining etiquette will all be presented during this four-course dinner presentation. This real-life experience allows our students to dine with confidence while practicing new skills and techniques — without a job offer at stake.”
This year's event will be hosted by etiquette professional Leanne Pepper beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the University Club Dining Room. Business formal attire is required.
Interested MBA students can purchase tickets by visiting the Centre for Business Career Development in DSB-112 or the MBA Association office. Tickets are $25 each and this event consistently sells out.
