Graduate student video-makers are competing for top spot in this year’s GradFlix Final Showcase on April 5.

Over the past three months, grad students from across the faculties have been busy crafting one-minute films that describe their research. Students can tell their story using animations, original music, dance, poetry, even humour — while still focusing on improving communication skills with non-specialist audiences.

Tune in Wednesday, April 5, at 3:30 p.m. ET, for the 2023 GradFlix Final Showcase on Zoom.

Check out videos by the 10 finalists as they compete for cash prizes, the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Communicating Graduate Research, and GradFlix bragging rights.

The top three winners will be announced during the Showcase.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award will open at the end of the Showcase and close on Monday, April 10, at noon.

2023 GradFlix submissions will be available for viewing on the McMaster SGS YouTube channel after this year’s showcase screening.
