A feature story in the magazine Bio Business is shining some light on the small community of explorers searching Earth’s oceans for new pharmaceuticals.

The story, Chemists of the Seaprofiles a number of researchers looking for new antibiotics not in the soil but beneath the waves.

McMaster’s Gerry Wright, director of the DeGroote Institute for Infectious Disease Research, is quoted extensively in the story.

Wright will speak about the crisis in antimicrobial resistance at a lecture on Parliament Hill this week.

The Bacon and Eggheads series of lectures brings Parliamentarians together with experts in science and engineering.
