As uncertain facts and ‘fake news’ continue to dominate world headlines, Hamilton residents have asked for non-partisan information to make informed voting decisions as October 21 approaches.

This October, McMaster University Continuing Education, the Hamilton Public Library and City of Hamilton will host Conversations That Matter, a speaker series focused on voter education and dialogue.

This year’s series includes a line-up of experts who will be exploring two top 2019 polling issues: Canada’s Environment: From National Policy to Local Impact on Wednesday, October 2, and Canada’s Rich and Diverse Cultural Fabric on Wednesday, October 9.

“We are excited about our upcoming speaker series this fall,” says Lorraine Carter, director of McMaster Continuing Education. “We are committed to empowering Hamiltonians with credible, non-partisan information so they can feel confident and informed when heading to the polls on October 21.”
