A new online program helping McMaster faculty, managers and staff efficiently complete Job Hazard Analysis forms is now live.
Completion of the forms by all supervisors and staff is a key mandatory requirement as McMaster prepares for the upcoming Workwell health and safety audit this spring.

“The new online system has been carefully designed to assist supervisors and staff members complete the Job Hazard Analysis as quickly and easily as possible,” says Lisa Morine, project manager for Workwell in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Support Services (EOHSS).

“Because this is a key mandatory requirement as McMaster prepares for the upcoming Workwell audit by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, it is very important all directors, chairs, managers and others who supervise staff complete the forms collaboratively with employees.”

The job hazard analysis allows employees and their supervisors to jointly identify and list the main activities and common hazards of each job. The online program provides pre-formatted checklists categorized for McMaster employees and managers by their job type.
Each McMaster employee must have a completed Job Hazard Analysis form by March 17. The online program is available at www.workingatmcmaster.ca/workwell.

The Workwell audit is a review of all aspects of workplace health and safety, including McMaster's workplace and environmental health and safety policy and risk management programs, standards, training with documented records, as well as performance. It's expected the auditors will visit campus this spring.
