MSU Charity ‘Yule’ Ball promises to be a magical evening

This year's Charity Ball should please fans of the Harry Potter series of books and movies. This year's gala is in support of Micah House.

Calling all muggles: this year’s McMaster Student’s Union Charity Ball is being hosted by Hogwarts.

More than 1300 students are expected at this year’s Harry Potter-themed gala and fundraiser, to be held at the Hamilton Convention Centre Jan. 31.

The night will feature Potter-themed rooms, including “The Great Hall”, “Wizard’s Chess” and “Honeydukes”, live entertainment and a gaming area.

The MSU Charity Ball has raised more than $240,000 for Hamilton-area organizations over the last 15 years.

This year’s Ball is in support of Micah House, which provides short-term shelter and settlement assistance to refugee claimants.

Tickets are $40 and are available online.
