The CCE is launching a new Diploma in Marketing in January.”]Successful organizations understand that marketing has no boundaries and affects all aspects of their business, employees and customers.

Successful marketing includes analyzing customer needs and wants, building customer relationships, understanding the competition, communicating ideas, developing a strategic plan and executing it properly.

The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) is launching a new Diploma in Marketing in January that will give students the opportunity to develop and enhance the skills required to work in a marketing role.

Whether you want to change careers, update your marketing skills or better promote your services, this new Diploma in Marketing will help you succeed.

According to Todd Rich, program manager at CCE, “Marketing is no longer for people who solely create TV ads and work in a defined marketing position. Marketing is important to anyone who interacts with customers or a product from the front-line employee to the president of the organization.

“For McMaster staff, this program could be beneficial as students are our customers and we need to use marketing concepts to attract new ones, retain the ones we currently have and encourage them to become customers for life.”

Courses are typically offered in class, in the evenings at the Downtown Centre.

Core (five required courses):

  • Marketing
  • Business Administration I
  • Marketing Plans and Implementation
  • Consumer Behaviour
  • Marketing Communications

    Electives (choose three courses):

  • Market Research
  • Branding and Image
  • Business to Business Marketing
  • E-Marketing
