As part of the annual assessment and repair of parking lots, roadways and sidewalks, a number of construction projects start today that will affect many parts of campus.

  • College Crescent near the southwest corner of Arthur Bourns Building and Cootes Drive: There will be significant reconstruction to improve pedestrian safety and better regulate traffic. The wide radius turn will be removed and the roadway rebuilt to an 'L' shape.
  • Damaged walkways behind University Hall and the Faculty Club will be replaced with three-metre wide concrete sidewalks. Access to the University Club during construction will be through the east entrance.
  • As part of the Parking Automation Project, parking zones 3NX, 4, 6 and 7 will begin to see the installation of parking gates. Construction also includes new islands to the entrances of these lots and trenching for wiring.
