A recognition wall for the Allan J. Greve – St. Joseph's Healthcare Medal for Excellence in Health Services Management was unveiled Thursday in the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business.

Sabrina (Ciardelli) Sharpe, Deanna (Heroux) Young and Gia Marasco, graduating student in the Health Services Management stream in the MBA program, are the award's first recipients to have their photos placed on the wall. Sharp is the inaugural award winner in 2003, Young won in 2004 and Marasco is this year's recipient.

Named in honour of Allan J. Greve, former president and CEO of St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, the award recognizes Greve's success in establishing St. Joseph's as a major academic health sciences centre renowned for its strong management, clinical and fiscal performance, and innovation and academic excellence. Greve continues to be an important advisor to government, industry and health care institutions. Recipients of the award, established in 2003, receive a prize of $1,500 and a gold medal.
