Members of the Business Advisory Council (BAC) of the DeGroote School of Business, a committee made up of alumni and friends of the School, have contributed nearly $500,000 to date to the School's expansion to Burlington.

Ed Minich, BAC chair, explained that the Burlington project is an opportunity to grow the business school, both in numbers and in stature.

“I feel that DeGroote is a well-kept secret. I think as people discover the School, its reputation and stature will grow to a higher level. I see Burlington as being the launching pad for that. That's why I've personally invested in it and that's why I've encouraged other BAC members to do so as well.”

Opening this September, the new Ron Joyce Centre in Burlington will be home to DeGroote's MBA program as well as executive education opportunities for business professionals. With input from current students and industry benchmarks, the facilities will provide a learning environment reflective of that used in leading corporations. Spaces within the Centre have an open and flexible design to promote the best learning environment and accommodate various uses. These spaces will enrich the student experience and facilitate collaboration.
