Jim Bontaine

Willy Dog proprietor Jim Bontaine matched the first $250 in donations to a recent fundraiser in support of the University's 125th anniversary bursary fund, to bring the total raised to $1060.

With the help of the Willy Dog hotdog cart, the McMaster Alumni Association has raised $1,060 in support of the University’s 125th anniversary bursary fund.

Willy Dog proprietor Jim Bontaine discounted hotdogs sold at his cart by 50 cents earlier this year, and asked buyers to donate the saved money to the campaign.

Bontaine also matched the first $250 in donations to bring the total to $1060.

The Alumni Association is currently holding a penny drive across campus to continue raising funds for the bursary.

The fund will support students in the Hamilton area who demonstrate financial need.
