Bringing the Dundas EcoPark to life on screen

“Imagine an urban green space located in the heart of Southern Ontario, many times the size of Central Park in New York.”

This is what organizers of the Dundas EcoPark Campaign are one day hoping to achieve — right in McMaster’s backyard.

The concept involves acquiring and restoring more than 3,000 acres of natural land stretching from Dundas to Highway 6, and bordered by the Niagara Escarpment to the north and the University’s main campus to the south.

Civil engineering graduate students Wade Genders and Glen Prevost have produced a 42-minute documentary about the ambitious project, including an interview with University president Patrick Deane (beginning at the 35:20 mark).
