“The Gallery event is a great time to reflect upon how significant McMaster has been in some remarkable lives,” says Anne-Marie Middel, associate director of alumni advancement. “It's also a chance for us all to be proud of not only our award winners and Gallery inductees, but of McMaster as well.”

Also being handed out tonight are the Arch Awards, recognizing McMaster's recent graduates for career success and notable contributions to society. This year's winners are molecular biologist, adventurer, writer and filmmaker Julie Angus, Liquid Fiber Displays founders Nimesh Bahl and Cristian Nunez, and Cancer Rehab Inc. founder Jodi Steele. The Branch Award will go to Philip Hamill of the MAA Ottawa branch, Gillian Cooper will be given the Distinguished Service Award and the the Albert Lager Prize will go to a number of students who have provided support and leadership to their faculty, program or McMaster University and the surrounding community.
