Alumni association welcomes first-year students

First-year McMaster students who enroll in a Student Send-Off event in their local community get a head start on their university experience.

The Send-Offs, to which the students and their parents are invited, are hosted by the Office of Alumni Advancement and various geographic branches of the McMaster Alumni Association.

Intended as a welcome to McMaster, each includes talks by current students and an opportunity for the new students to meet and mix with other students from their area who will be attending the University in September.

The following locations are having Send-Off events in August. Each is two hours in length, starting at 7 p.m. Students interested in attending should register by phone at 905-525-9140, ext. 24381, or by e-mail at
