They were represented by a 13-member delegation, who actively participated in various sessions and developed a variety of personal and professional skills.

AIESEC is the international platform for young people to develop and discover their potential to have a positive impact on society. The AIESEC platform consists of a number of different opportunities through which individuals can create their own experience. The main opportunities are working abroad, learning networks, leadership experience, conferences, and supported self-discovery.

Annually, at the regional conference, AIESEC Canada recognizes top individuals and local chapters with six awards that are based on AIESEC's values. This year AIESEC McMaster was presented two awards.

The first award presented was “Acting Sustainably”. It acknowledges the efforts put forward by the team to ensure that AIESEC at McMaster will continue to grow through out the coming years. The membership is not only focused on its year plan but also makes sure that the next generation of McMaster “AIESECers” will have the resources, knowledge, motivation, and skills to make AIESEC McMaster one of the top local committees in the world.

The second award was an individual award, presented to Assem Memon, the local committee president. The “Activating Leadership” award recognizes his ability to lead by example and inspire leadership through action and results not only on a local level but also nationally.

This conference has not only encouraged but also motivated the membership of AIESEC McMaster to continually pursue developing and discovering their potential while creating opportunities for others to do the same.
