Adaptation the focus of this year’s Ontario Climate Consortium conference

Tropical storms like this one could become a more regular occurrence if the Earth's climate continues to warm.

Humans will need to adapt to Earth’s changing climate if they are to continue living on the planet.

That’s why adaptation is the focus of this year’s Ontario Climate Consortium conference, being held May 11 at McMaster.

The gathering of researchers, policy-makers and members of the NGO community will feature discussions on the business of climate resilience and adaptation as well as how those in the social sciences can work with those in the natural sciences.

The conference, hosted by McMaster’s Centre for Climate Change, will also include a graduate research poster conference and an art exhibition.

Ontario’s Minister of the Environment, Glen Murray, will give a keynote address at 9 a.m.

The conference’s full agenda can be found here.
