Acclaimed anthropologist is next Author in the City

Photo by Ryan Hill.”]On Friday, October 30, award-winning ethnographer, anthropologist, ethnobotanist, filmmaker and photographer Wade Davis will be at the McMaster Innovation Park speaking about his latest book, The Wayfinders: Why Ancient Wisdom Matters in the Modern World. Davis is currently on a cross-Canada tour, delivering the Massey Lectures for the CBC.

Davis will be speaking about the extinction of cultural diversity, something he says is happening at an alarming rate.

This lecture is part of the Science in the City lecture series, sponsored by the Office of the Vice-President, Research & International Affairs and The Hamilton Spectator. There will be a book signing following the talk and Titles Bookstore will be on hand with copies available for purchase at a 20 per cent discount. The lecture will be held at the McMaster Innovation Park, 175 Longwood Road South at 7:30 p.m.

The lecture is free and all are welcome. Seating is limited and a ticket will be required for admission.
