A year-end message from Chancellor Santee Smith

As the McMaster community prepares for the winter break, Chancellor Santee Smith shares some thoughts on the year that’s passed and the year ahead.

“As 2020 comes to a close, I want to share some perspectives and reflect on the important social issues which affect us all. This year has brought to light glaring inequities, and in our conversations, we question the systems in place to perpetuate them. Taking a positive stance, I believe we all have an opportunity to put into action personal and community transformation. Moving forward with inspiration, motivation and kindness, l encourage every one of us to embrace change and our own responsiveness to challenges that may come in 2021.
