A reminder to be a good neighbour

A tree-lined path on campus in the fall.

McMaster is reminding students to keep safety and respect for the community and our neighbours top of mind this Halloween weekend.

McMaster is reminding students to keep safety and respect for the community and our neighbours top of mind this Halloween weekend.

The university will be working with Hamilton Police to make sure the neighbourhoods around our campus stay safe and peaceful around Halloween.

Please do your part for our community: Keep your gatherings small, turn down the volume and be a good neighbour.

Be aware that violating laws, including the City of Hamilton’s new Nuisance Party Bylaw, could lead to significant charges and fines.

McMaster students living on campus and offsite can help keep their community safe by following these tips:

  • Be respectful and responsible
  • Keep gatherings small
  • Keep the volume down
  • Be considerate, patient and kind
