The cyber-crime thriller ‘Blackhat’ opened this weekend at theatres across North America.

The movie, starring Chris Hemsworth, sees infrastructure around the world damaged by the work of an unknown hacker.

American and Chinese authorities are forced to enlist the help of a convict in tracking down the hacker before more damage can be done.

The movie isn’t performing particularly well at the box office, but it’s at least an accurate portrayal of what real-world hackers can do – right?
