2004 football broadcast schedule announced

McMaster University will broadcast all games this season on both television and radio.

This season, Cable 14 Television will carry six of the eight regular season games including a live broadcast of the McMaster season opener at TD Waterhouse stadium in London on Monday, Sept. 6 (Labour Day) at 3 p.m. Todd Crocker and Don Edwards will provide the commentary.

The Score Television network will broadcast two games nationally including a rematch of the 2003 (McMaster vs. Laurier) and 2002 (McMaster vs. Queens) Yates Cup Championship. The Score anchor, and Hamilton Tiger-Cat radio broadcaster Tim Micallef will provide the play-by-play, while Score football analyst Duane Ford, will provide the colour commentary. Sid Seixeiro will
patrol the sidelines.

McMaster Campus Radio, CFMU 93.3 FM will carry all McMaster radio broadcasts with Dr. Don Dawson and Matt Cauz calling the games.

  • TV Cogeco Niagara (channel 10) in Fort Erie, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Pelham, Port Colborne, St. Catharines, Thorold and Welland.
  • TV Cogeco Grimsby (channel 14) in Grimsby.
  • Rogers Television London (channel 13) in London, St. Thomas, Strathroy, Tillsonberg, and Woodstock.
  • Rogers Television Grand River (channel 20) in Brantford.
  • Rogers Television Barrie, Keswick, Mississauga, Newmarket, Richmond Hill and Toronto.

Thirhse Quigley, director of Athletics and Recreation at McMaster commented that “the expanded football broadcast schedule provides McMaster students, faculty, staff, alumni and community fans the opportunity to follow the Marauders.”

Quigley also commented that “Labour Day will be a great day for football in this community. Football fans will have the opportunity to cheer for the Marauders in the afternoon and the Tiger-Cats in the evening.”
