2000 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

The McMaster University Department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce the 2000 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees.

The inductees are, Bernie Custis (Builder), Kairy Hennessy-Loucks '89 (Track & Field), John MacLennan '64 (Football & Basketball), Patricia (Koudys) Pangos '83 (Basketball), Paul Pottier '79 (Water Polo/Swimming), Lydia Vamos '90 (Soccer), Gerald Wagar '46 (Football, Ice Hockey, Tennis), Jane (Kirby) Wilson '71 (Field Hockey/Ice Hockey).

Director of Athletics & Recreation, Therese Quigley, commented, “The tradition of excellence in Marauder Athletics is most evident in our annual Hall of Fame Induction ceremony. We are proud of the rich history and the outstanding men and women who have established this great tradition. The spirit and athleticism lives on through the student-athletes of today and the dreams of those yet to where the maroon and grey.”

These eight individuals will be inducted on Friday, September 22 at the Hall of Fame Dinner. The Hall of Dinner takes place annually as part of Homecoming festivities.
