Students planting trees by searching the web

Ecosia, a search engine that donates its ad revenue to reforestation projects, is now the default web browser on 170 public-facing computers in Mills Memorial Library, thanks to a collaboration between students, staff and faculty.

Earth Day tree planting marks new phase for McMaster Carbon Sink Forest

The fourth and final planting at the site marks a major step forward towards the goal of creating a model of a carbon sink forest — a forest that stores more carbon than it releases.
