Take the Mental Health Awareness training module for employees


A new 3 part on-line Mental Health Awareness session has been added to McMaster Online Resource Essentials (MORE).

MORE is a collection of information housed in Avenue2Learn. All McMaster employees can access MORE with their MacID.

 

How do I access MORE?

Simply login to Avenue2Learn (A2L) and select the McMaster Online Resource Essentials course under “My Courses.” Then navigate the course content. Additional Instructions:

 

  1. Existing employee with an active Avenue2Learn account: login to A2L with your MacID and chooseMcMaster Online Resource Essentials under “My Courses.”
  2. Existing employee without an active Avenue2Learn account: go to A2L and sign in using your MacID to activate your A2L access.  Once your A2L account is activated (may take 24 hours), you should be able to sign into A2L and select McMaster Online Resource Essentials under “My Courses.”
  3. New employee: once you have your MacID, go to A2L, sign in using your MacID to activate your A2L access.  Once your A2L account is activated, contactWeAreAllLeaders@mcmaster.ca and request access to MORE.

 

MORE is a new learning and development offering launched through a continued partnership between Human Resources Services, the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and DeGroote Executive Education.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) sessions, and other mental health educational opportunities,  wellness resources as well as faculty and manager supports is available through the ‘Mental Health at McMaster’ Employee Resource page

MHFA is a two day interactive course with a focus on adults with mental health problems. Practical skills are taught using a model that is easy to apply in real life settings. Previous experience dealing with mental health issues is not required. The next two-day session of Mental Health First Aid is being offered on June 22 & 29, 2017 to current McMaster employees.
