Students recognized as good neighbours

Twenty students have been recognized for their outstanding contributions as members of the Westdale community this year.

The Exceptional Student Neighbour Awards were presented in the Student Centre last week by representatives of McMaster, Hamilton Police Services, the Ainslie Wood/Westdale Community Association and the City of Hamilton.

The awards recognize students who enhance the residential communities surrounding campus.

All of the students were nominated by area residents, many of whom wrote letters of commendation to the awards organizing committee.

Award winners were presented with a certificate signed by McMaster President Deane, Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger and Acting Police Chief Eric Girt.
