Staff recognized for ten years of service

Darlene Hayward has seen just about everything during her time at McMaster.

Hayward has spent the last 10 years helping students navigate a variety of issues as an academic advisor, currently with the Faculty of Engineering.

From personal issues to adjusting class schedules, Hayward has helped a decade’s worth of students achieve success at McMaster.

Hayward was one of more than 140 employees recognized Wednesday at the University’s annual 10 years of service BBQ.

She was joined by colleagues from across campus, including Joel Cote, associate director of major and planned giving in University Advancement.

Cote works with individuals and groups to help match philanthropic plans with McMaster’s needs.

He says McMaster is a “great institution” that has helped him develop professionally over the last ten years.
