Explore Teaching and Learning Garden in 360 degrees (of view, not temperature!)

garden 1

Tomatoes, strawberries, onions and more – the fruits of the harvest are ripening at McMaster’s Teaching and Learning Garden.

The garden, located outside the General Science building, was opened in July 2012. Since then, volunteers have tended the garden, which produces fruits, vegetables and herbs that are sold at the Mac Farmstand and given to Ronald McDonald House.

Administrators from Biology, Geography & Earth Sciences, Arts & Science and Integrated Science have all designed courses that integrate the experiential learning opportunities that the garden provides. Instructors can even book the garden for use in their courses.
