A group of students in an alternative high school education program are learning to be leaders by mentoring elementary school students on campus.

The students have been visiting campus for the last number of week, using McMaster’s fitness circuit, training on the high ropes, working with the basketball team and hiking on nearby trails.

They’ve also been learning leadership skills using the University’s climbing tower.

On Thursday, the students took those skills to the next level, teaching all that they’d learned to Grade 6 students from Dr. Edgar Davey Elementary School.

The students spent the day together at the David Braley Athletic Centre, using facilities like the Feather Family Climbing Wall.
