Water to be shut off in multiple campus buildings Feb. 18
Domestic water will be unavailable in a number of campus buildings on Feb. 18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to complete necessary repairs. Traffic on Sterling Street will be affected by lane reductions during the repair.
The following buildings will be affected
- Gilmour Hall
- Mills Memorial Library
- McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC)
- McMaster Museum of Art
- Divinity College
- L.R. Wilson Hall
- Life Sciences Building

During the repair

- Washrooms will be available in adjacent buildings, including Chester New Hall, Togo Salmon Hall and Kenneth Taylor Hall.
- Services located in the impacted buildings may need to adjust their operations. Please see below for details.
- Eyewash stations and showers in the affected buildings will be unavailable. No experiments involving splash hazards or requiring handwashing prior to exiting the lab can run during this time.
- Fire watch will be in place for the buildings listed above, as well as the Michael DeGroote Centre for Learning and Discovery.
Employees are advised to contact their supervisors should they have any questions.
Modified Operations:
