University and UNIFOR bargaining
McMaster and UNIFOR local 5555 unit 1 have begun meeting to reach a renewed collective agreement.
UNIFOR unit 1 represents 2500 non-academic administrative, professional and technical employees at the university. The current agreement ends April 30, 2019.
While each set of negotiations involves issues unique to the specific employee group, McMaster negotiates with all employee groups based on a set of core principles including bargaining in good faith and committing to long-term, collaborative relationships with union partners.
