University and CUPE to begin bargaining
McMaster and CUPE 3906 unit 1 begin bargaining on June 11 to reach a renewed collective agreement. This unit represents approximately 2600 teaching assistants at the university. The current agreement expires August 31.
While each set of negotiations involves issues unique to the specific employee group, McMaster negotiates with all employee groups based on a set of core principles including bargaining in good faith and committing to long-term, collaborative relationships with union partners.
