Susan Waserman to be featured on CBC’s The Nature of Things
Professor Susan Waserman, who is running a clinical trial on peanut allergies, will be featured in a CBC TV special Feb. 27 showing at 7 p.m.
The Nature of Things with David Suzuki will focus on the alarming increase in food allergies and the search for a fix.
More than a third of North American children are now allergic to something, be it food, animals, or plants. In searching for a fix, scientists are up-ending the conventional wisdom about what causes allergies and how to deal with them.
Waserman is a professor of medicine at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine.
