The McMaster Museum of Art proudly presents the annual SUMMA exhibition, representing twenty-two emerging artists from McMaster University School of the Arts’ Studio Art Program. These McMaster students are the first to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.
As the title ‘Polyvocal’ implies, this is an exhibition of many diverse voices and expressions. Working in both traditional and non-traditional media, the artists explore a wide range of themes, including familial origins, cultural traditions and constructions, dreams and subconscious thought, myth and storytelling, the natural world, societal norms, and making the ordinary extraordinary.
