Student Life Enhancement Fund showcase today
The SLEF showcase celebrates projects that enhance student life. Students who want to know more about where their student fees are going or have a great idea to enhance student life at McMaster, are invited to check out the Student Life Enhancement Fund (SLEF) showcase Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the MUSC marketplace.
At the showcase, students can learn about projects that were once only ideas. Projects/programs on display include IRIS, the Common Reading Program, Wellness and Mindfulness Centre, Canadian Conference on Student Leadership, McMaster Outdoor Orientation Student Experience (MOOSE), Healthy Active Living Community Pilot, the McMaster Teaching and Community Garden, Student Union Information System (SUIS), the Hamilton Employment Crawl, Financial Literacy and more.
Students are encouraged to drop by, vote for the best display and best idea and make suggestions for future projects. You can impact programming at McMaster. Come see how others have made a difference. SLEF provides funding to student-run and University-based service providers to expand their programs, infrastructure and/or operations. The fund is intended for initiatives that demonstrate a commitment to improving and enhancing student life. The fund is administered by the Student Services Committee which consists of representatives from the McMaster Students Union (MSU) and the University.
