Siren and Alertus notification system testing: Thursday, January 14
McMaster will be testing its siren alert and Alertus notification system on Thursday, January 14, starting around 10:20 a.m.
Those with the McMaster Safety App installed on their phone will receive alerts. Screens around campus, as well as computers with the Alertus app, will display the same message.
Shortly thereafter, outdoor sirens and indoor sirens in MUSC, DBAC, and IWC will play a recorded “This is a test” message, followed by a full volume siren wail.
